jb7ParticipantVery good, I’m sure they’re very pleased with them-
Were you using the light through the stained glass for no.1?
It worked out well-~3 looks like you might have to get some more out of the highlights,
but the print will tell-Not sure about 4, but it does illustrate the veil-
if there was another with an alternative expression, or look, it might be good-
though all these things are down to the couple,
and nothing to do with me-Good to see you recycling shots in the last-
that background could so easily have gone straight into landfill…CurranParticipantHey Steve,
Im sure you know who I am!! ;) Ive graced you with my 1st post – lol – been a member for a while though!
Nice shots!!
Maybe, in the first pic, remove the slight purple tint on her arm – looks like a bruise.
Who took the background shot for the 5th pic – wasnt you surely?? Ha ha!! The wee fella-perhaps!! LOL
It works well – different – I’d have removed the arm of the person in the polaroid though; its kinda distracting!!ssheridanMemberHi JB7/Dave,
Thanks for the comments…
I noticed the beautiful light from the windows during the ceremony and asked the couple to go back into the church to get some shots. Positioned them about half up the aisle right in the middle of the coloured light from the stained glass windows. Got some really nice full length shots too. Light was really nice.
Point taken about the detail in the dress on the full length shot, I think I may have lost detail alright. Probably compounded by the processing in NIK software using the Glamour Glow effect. However, I got lots of other shots showing dress detail.
As for the recycling on the last shot, I’m actually thinking of making this a bit of a trade mark first dance shot. I like the way its shows action but the centre shot can remain sharp.
I did notice the purple patch on the brides arm in the first shot, but I didn’t think it looked too bad as there is a lot of coloured light from the stained glass windows.
And of course, the blurry background in the last shot is entirely intentional and created with artistic effect in mind!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the comments….

Yeah I quite like the idea!!
Got a trial of Viveza – the NIK software – have to say – its very impressive! How do you find the Glamour Glow??loustalotphotographyParticipantVery good job, your cousins might be pleased. Nothing to critic really but let me be a perfectionist – the light of the stained glass is gorgeous but it is the first thing I saw in the picture and my eyes keep going to it. In the postproduction process I would try to reduce the luminosity a little.
Anyway, more pictures of this quality please !
CliveMCLParticipantThe only think I would say and is good advice for everyone else. The Bride loves her dress more than even her groom. be very careful not to lose the detail in it with brightening and contrast adjustments…
apart from that, good work!
