Cavan Stages Crash Today.

All in PI should take time tonight to remember Joe Lane, a part-time photographer from Galway who was one of the two victims of today’s tragic crash in the Cavan Stages Rally. Below is taken from the RTE website. My condolences to both families. Its so easy to forget how fragile life is and we have all headed out for different sporting events never thinking that we might not make it home.
“The victims were named locally as Caroline Cleary, a navigator in the sport from Wexford who was not taking part in the Cavan Stages Rally, and Joe Lane, a part-time photographer from Galway who regularly contributed to motorsport publications.”

What a sad day for his family and friends R.I.P.I suppose in all spectator sports there is an element of danger, especially motor sports & being
a photographer, you’re putting yourself in the best place for the best shots. Looking at his work
earlier on the web & he really took some terrific images.There before the grace of God go I.
