Banged off about 50 shots tryin to make this work but I couldn’t seem to get it right. Used a lotta different apertures and shutter speeds, here’s the best of a bad bunch . . . any recommendations?
These do look like they could be pleasing images but at the moment the sun is just to strong
If you had waited another 20 mins the sun would have been behind the hill and you would
have got nice twilight
The sugarloaf certainly looked great this week. I passed it a number of times regretting that I didn’t have the time to get out. I was hoping it would last til this weekend but it looked pretty grotty this morning.
I like these Colin – yes, the sun is a bit bright but you have captured the reflections in the snow well, and i love the way the light is ‘kissing’ the snow in the foreground in the second one. It lacks a bit compositionally on the LHS, but in has a great general feel to it.
I don’t normally suggest merging different images (it’s just not my thing), but you may get a better finished product if you take the sky, which is a little less bright, in image 1 and merge it into image 2.
