Center of an Orchid and Chrysanthemum

Sometimes it can be difficult to shoot flowers and be creative giving it your own style, there’s lots and lots of shots of Orchids and Chrysanthemums out there so I wanted to add something a little differant so I’ve added a little “zoom blur”. There is a particular reason why I want to add/develop my own style and not just take a standard shot of a flower…
Would love some constructive feedback on these.

    Hi Brian,

I do agree that being ‘original’ in flower photography is difficult – but not impossible. I have been struggling with this ‘subject’ since February – and am failing badly!

These two shots are pretty OK though – well composed & exposed. I’m not sure if the zoom burst does anything to enhance or make more original though. It doesn’t distract from them.

As i have been immersed in the subject for a while – and looking for inspiration on the interweb – 4 flower photographers in particular have made me particularly jealous. All females btw – and one from Ireland. Well worth following on Facebook also.

I really like the orchid and the zoom blur adds a lovely effect.
