Chaffinch

It’s a male chaffinch. It looks like the light to the side was a little harsh. It’s a little on the noisy side. There’s still decent detail despite this. Was it cropped much?

good to see pictures going up so soon-It seems you’ve set up a little studio here for yourself-
so there are maybe a couple of things you could think about-
The backlighting seems quite strong-
you could try using a reflector to balance the lighting more-
though I don’t photograph birds myself, so don’t know what I’m talking about-And although the background is thrown nicely out of focus, I can still see the shape of a wall, or screen or something-
perhaps a viewpoint a little higher might have made the geometry a little less noticeable-Good first post, hope to see more-

Very nice shot, the detail and colours are great apart the bright spot. What lens are you using for these shots.
