Choosing a lighting kit to photograph artwork

Hi there. I am about to take on a project to photograph a collection of art, including paintings, prints behind glass and sculptures. I’m not sure what lighting kit to use, continuous lighting or flash, tungsten of fluorescent. Can anyone advise on this. My budget is between €500 – €600.
P.S. Some of the paintings are large (2.5 m X 2)

Im not sure I want a flash unit really, I’d prefer to have a continuous lighting kit I think. My main concern is to get even lighting on the surface I want to photograph; I think a continuous lighting kit might be easier to manage in this respect.
