How did you get that close to him….. great shot.

Thanks for the comments. No flash used Dave. It was late in the evening and they seemed to be a little slower than usual. This fellow was on the stem of some Devils Bit Scabious and he let me get right up close. Stayed like that for about 2 mins. Upped the ISO to 800 and managed a shutter speed of just 1/20th at F8. Used live view to focus.

Thanks. They’re not as common as they used to be. You have to look for them n areas of untouched grassland. This one was on an old railway embankment.
