Clinging on….

Flora eeking out an existence clinging onto wind and sea swept rocks.

My knowledge of plant life stops at differentiating grass and trees, so if anyone can put a name on this pink stuff, it would be good.

    C&C feared yet welcomed….

Good shots., second one works best for me as its more abstract.

Definitely the second one for me. The lower depth of field highlights the flowers more, lovely shot. The flower is called a Thrift and is found in coastal areas. We have them a lot around here aswell.

    Hi Pete,

no. 1 is a beauty – perfect colours, exposure and DOF.

I think no. 2 needs to be much close to the subject.

Nice, and has already been said, its a plant called “Thrift” Aka “Sea Pink”…. so that should be easy to remeber seeing its pink and grows beside the beside.

I like very much both of them but the second one is my favourite, I love the blurred foreground.

Yea 2.nd for me too, again love the blurred backround.

the sky in the firat could be darker to create a better contrast.

Larger image sizes are better too to see more detail.

    Nice set

I’m having to play around at the moment with image size, I’m linking to flickr where these are sited, and the different image sizes are confounding me. This I think is Medium whereas the Large is about 1024+ so end up too big. Trying to find a way of uploading so I can find a happy medium.
