Cloud Inversion

Again, not exactly a photographic masterpiece but posted more for your interest. This was a photo from last year which shows a rather interesting cloud inversion over Dunaff Head (not an island). This was not a cloud inversion in the strict sense where cold damp air is trapped in a valley. This was more like a summer sea harr but the effect looks very similar.

That’s quite bizarre. Looks like it’s semi-reflected in the cloud too…?! Even more weird that you can’t see the base of the mountain (?) so your only clue that it ‘s there comes as quite a surprise!
