Looks like a great scene… although you should try and embed your image directly in the thread.

I think with some added contrast (to bump up the shadows and add a little more mood) you have a fine, fine composition here. Plent of interest, lots of fine detail.

Not sureTed it looks like a super place but hte stone is to dominateing (spell check) it makes the bay look so tiny
perhaps from a different angle and a bit farther back
but perhaps somebody will come on and say i am talking a load of s##t

Very nice shot with lots of potential. As the lads said a bit more contrast to give it more kick. Great sky would try to get more out of it

Have been up around this stone on the way to Slieve Martin many the time its a great view from up there

I think you’ve gone to far with it Ted. Just as a simple, simple approach (assuming you have Photoshop) add a curves adjustment layer and select Medium Contrast from the presets. I think this bumps the shot up to a fairly good level.

I did try adjusting the curves and slight level adjustment, although I was not happy with the changes it made to the foreground. Perhaps i should give layers a go?

I wonder how this would look if the top of the stone weren’t aligned with the horizon?

Yep, add a layer mask to the curves adjustment layer and paint some black or a shade of grey into the areas you want to remain totally unaffected or less affected.

It all boils down to your personal preference.

PS. Read this guide in relation to embedding your images directly in the thread https://www.photographyireland.net/viewtopic.php?p=114710#114710. You already have the resize and host bit sussed.

It’s a cracking shot, but I think the composition could be improved if the rock broke the skyline.. i.e. if the horizon line passed half-way through the rock. At the moment, I think it doesn’t look enough like the focal point of the photograph, but just something blocking the view a little bit.
