Coconut Man

taken in the Philippines on a tiny island off Palawan where coconuts provided the only source of hydration!
boy was I glad to come across this guy.

First picture is really great. Second one seems to have a great story behind it but the first one is definitely my favourite. The eyes are very piercing in it.
2 really good shots and remind me of the same sort of characters i encountered in the caribbean. Although they did not let me take their pic :-(
I’d be the opposite. I think the clarity and sharpness of the 2nd shot works more for me. First one…I dunno…not sure if it’s soft..or it’s my eyes playing tricks…but something doesn’t look right to me.
Second shot IS a good story shot.,..maybe I’d prefer a little more background to set the scene..but it’s a fine shot.

8)thanks for the comments lads, yeh kind of wish the 1st one was sharper because his skin has so many wrinkles and contours (you can see that from his hands cutting the coconut).

what is a (to me) an uninteresting subject picgathered my attention for a second look to the clarity and detail captured
