    i was at meath v wicklow on sunday standin in a great place to take photos
    what is the rules
    the photos would be for myself to put up on facebook
    what would be classed as Professional Photographer is it the camera, lens or is it what looks professional
    im not saying i look like a pro but god loves a tryer

    Not too sure what you are asking here….if you take photos of the game yourself of course you can put them up on Facebook…a professional photographer is someone that makes his or her living from photography and has nothing to do with what camera, lens or any other gear you are using…taking photos at a match won’t make you a pro…again..mabye I am mis-understanding the question.

    You also need to consider that the GAA protect their IP (logo) with zeal, and if they come across images on facebook/flickr and other sites, they can ask you to remove them, if you are not an accredited photographer. I’ve heard of that happening.

    In general though, you can take picts and put them on facebook.
