I was around in a friends house photographing his baby when he introduced me to this baby….His 10 year old pet Iguana. Must have been 4-5 foot long with his tail being half of his length. He opened the door of it enclosure and the said…”uh oh, shes going to jump at you…”so I took a step back, just in time as she launched herself at me and landed on the floor where I had been standing. If I hadn’t moved she would have landed on my chest. Good to know shes a vegetarian. Amazing looking animal.
haha, nice story and beautiful image. normally im not a fan of selective colour but in this case as it is so subtle i think it works quite well.
Nice shot! I’d be thinking these animals have an amazing skin, why make it B&W? I do like the selective colour though, hmm..
Vee, the reason its a mono is that when I took this shot she was on a branch directly under her heating lamp which cast an unnatural red hue over her naturally green skin. I tried to recover the green skin but I couldn’t do it to my satisfaction so I went with a mono with selective colour instead.

Ah, fair enough. Well,let’s hope that you will give him a visit again some day, wouldn’t mind seeing a nice colour version :)
