Commercial book printing

Can anyone tell me who I should approach to try to have a book of photographs printed. I have got a single example printed with a French Company which was, of course, very expensive but gives the idea of how I would like the book printed.
    Thanks

The likes of Spectra Photo do photo books. However, I don’t know if this is the kind of thing you’re looking for.

If you talking about a book, then there is the self-publishing route,
blurb.com (I think Ashley has used them) and lulu.com

Blurb are definately the way to go….120 page book for €68.00
Got one done about a month ago with all my best nature and
landscape shots in it…hard cover with one of my prints on the
front…choice of hard or soft cover and also a choice of getting
a dust jacket…just a word of warning though…any dark prints
you might have…low light or nightime ones…they seem to print
them darker again…mabye a stop darker so be ready to brighten
them before you upload any shots….its great to show to people
who are interested in buying any prints but equally it could be
done for a wedding portfolio as well.

Blurb is alright. Maybe a stop too dark.

Take a look at the Clondalkin option in your search http://www.photovalue.com

If you are only looking for a couple of books try http://www.digitalalbum.ie and if you use the code 2000769 they will know the referal came from me. It’s free sofware and very easy to use and you only get charged when you order an album. Takes 2 weeks and comes from Spain.

If you are looking for a large run then let me ask a few people that got them done before and I’ll post up the info. I know there are loads of Dublin based printers looking for business at present so you should be able to get a good deal.

Thanks everyone for the info. I am looking for a publisher rather than a printer. I have the original printed and now want to talk to some publishers.
If anyone knows someone I could talk to I would be grateful.
    Thanks

    Hi Lula,

    Publishers:
    Tara Publishing,
    O’Brien Publishing

These would be two main publisher that I know of.

Additionally, drop into Easons and rummage through they section in which your style of book fall into and you can pull the publishers info off the imprint page.
