Complementary Colours

My wife set up this still life to paint and I got a shot of it before hand.
Photography is so much more immediate that oil painting… if it wasn’t for the marathon Photoshop sessions I find myself doing :D

Lovely colours and a great arrangement with the blue of the background repeated in the bowl. Also the colours of the nectarines and the scarf. The nectarines are well arranged to pick up the lighter colours in the dimples of the fruit. The light on the jug will probably be brought out by the painter and the folds in the cloth. I think the background should be smooth for a photograph and the light patch on the right is a little distracting. :)
Thanks very much, Belisha. I tried adjusting the light patch in photoshop but it never looked natural.
