Completed Samuel Beckett Bridge Project

This has been a project for the past 5 days. Taking a piece of architecture and converting into B&W whilst attempting to create presence and an image I enjoy. It has been a great project to learn more about the rules of grey, photoshop and creating vision for an image. I must have spent 15 hours on this as many mistakes were made and having to rethink ideas solutions.

I really like this, but if I may be so bold as to suggest removing the two grey diagonal lines on the left. I think it would work better without them. But then again, I’m no expert. :)

Great result for all of your hard work.

Concerning the 2 lines, I understand what Miki means, however they are part of the structure, s perhaps they should remain …

Another cracking shot. Personally I would leave the lines in as they are subtle and break up what would be a lot of black empty space otherwise.

Beautifully process again. What are you using for your mono conversion ? Nik ?

NIk, collection for the initial conversion, then a heck of a lot tweaking in PS with selections and intersecting luminosity channels with selections.
