A couple of pictures from Vietnam about three years ago.
A Water Dragon and a Skink encountered each other. After a staring competition for a few moments, the water dragon whipped the skink with his tail two or three times (so fast the eye could barely see) and then the skink jumped off the curb and went around the water dragon. The water dragon looked fairly happy with himself.
He’s the same water dragon as in my profile picture.
Both taken with a Nikon D50 and Sigma 18-200mm lens.
Very unusual sicene, I think. I never saw anything like this since. It was a very exciting moment for me.
I guess you mean I should have included more of the Skink’s tail in the first one. This isn’t actually a crop – I was zoomed in for this one.
Personally I like the details in each lizards scales/skin in the first one. The focus in the second isn’t great but I included it to show their tails and the context.
