PaddyJoeParticipant
i came across this hilarious sign in donegal. i like the way the sky came out in the photo.
SwordieMemberYes, I know this area and this particular road.
There are two ways to get to Glen Colmcille from here, obviously.
You can take the “direct” route ot the coastal road.
Notice how the signs are “as Gaeilge” only. Very confusing for anyone with no Irish language. My dad is originally from Kilcar, not too far from there – depending on what route you take!!!!!
AliParticipantMy Aunt lives in Glencolmkille (my mother’s from Carrick), i’m sure plenty of tourists got a kick out of this one, if they could understand it :)
It’s a gorgeous area.richiehatchMemberWhat I think is hillarious is that PaddyJoe posts an image of a signpost which looks like its in the middle of nowhere and you 2 guys recognise it…! Amazingly small country I think…!
Richie
(know a guy who grew up in Kilcar – Ron?n Hegarty – know him…?)
PaddyJoeParticipantnice to see donegal is popular. how did this photo move from landscasp to here? i see it says moved in landsacpe now.

Confused? It’s just to keep you on your toes, PaddyJoe!
Small tip: use the shift key, it helps create capital letters! – Sorry, just being a smart ass. :)Hey Ali, what’s your mother’s sir name? My Grandmother is a McGinley (kinda common name around those parts!)

yeah but i think quick and type slow so its hard for me to do it right.
i think surname is spelt different from what you’ve got.
AliParticipantYou serious? My aunt is a McGinley, Cait McGinley. My Mam’s maiden name is Carr.

OMG, I could be related to your aunt!
My grandmother is probably a bit older than your aunt. She’s 99.
Plenty of Carrs in Kilcar too.constantineParticipantThat sign is typical Donegal.
They only discovered the wheel the other week.
I go up their a lot, seen as I married a Donegal women, so I am allowed to slag them off, the big thick eejits.
Only messing
They actually haven’t discovered the wheel yet.
