Got an opportunity to spend a day in the Aran Islands last week with Connacht Rugby.
They were out there for most of the week training and promoting Rugby.
Took this shot on the edge of a 300ft cliff at Dun Aengus.
I was a bit reluctant to take the job on because of the location and temperamental weather but I’m glad I did.
Didn’t use any filters or effects, just underexposed the background and lit the lads up with 3 flashguns all while balancing on top of a ladder…
Connacht were happy with it so that’s the main thing and there currently running a competition for a tag line to make a poster.
Sorry to say I dont like this dosnt work for me I can see the thought in being so high but i think ur about 2ft to high its to top heavy and some of the heads are very close to running into the water a change in angle would fix both problems I hope this is a crop because to go all that way and get all those players kitted out and then to cut of their feet is really unforgiveable but as you say they like it
Saw this on facebook, you must be chuffed their using it as their season poster. I really like it, lovely mood and feel to it. Good work. We’ll have to catch up for a coffee sometime…
Thanks for the comments, I played around at different heights and this was about the best without loosing one of the players.
As I said its for a poster so it will get cropped to suit.
We’ll have to meet up alright Ken.
