Nice simple shot Pete,
I am a fan of muted colours like this. the blue and green
really compliment each other and they keep the scene simple too.Would like to see this bigger [800 pixels wide at least]
there may be a little bit of post processing halo along the
tops of the mountains which can take from the image.pete4130MemberThere is no post processing halo along the mountain line as all that was done was levels and curves across the whole image so no idea where you are getting that from?
aoluainParticipantWell if the image was posted at a size that we could see the detail more clearly
it might help me to be more accurate in my comments.“Would like to see this bigger [800 pixels wide at least]
there may be a little bit of post processing halo along the
tops of the mountains which can take from the image.”Why not post the image 800pixels wide?

Very unfriendly reaction to what might simply be a viewing issue due to the size presented
And with a comments recieved to comments given ratio like yours you might be a tad more polite.
Poor show.
johnnymcParticipantHi Pete, Lovely picture.
I have to row in behind Alan’s point though as there’s a halo effect showing on my monitor also.
Regards,
John
miki gParticipantNice scene. I find the dark cloud on RHS a bit out of place though (not anything you did). It just draws my attention away from the mountains

If you can’t accept criticism then don’t post the image and come crying when someone doesn’t see the obvious perfection that you can manage to see. Unfortunately there are a few more around here like you too who have the same attitude.
I think it’s sh1t.
pete4130MemberThere’s no need for profanity here to be honest, no matter what ratio of comments received to comments given anybody has. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I can’t see where I was impolite.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Hopefully I’ll have my comments given/received ratio up to point where I’ll be allowed to reply in future :)
miki gParticipantUnfortunately text communication does not show the feelings, emotions or context in which something is said and can therefore lead to misunderstanding. When I read your reply to Alan’s views, I thought that your comment was being abrupt and rude. Perhaps I was wrong in this case, but if so I am not alone. A simple apology for any misunderstanding would have been enough.

Who suggested that you weren’t allowed reply?
5faytheParticipantHi Pete,
I think this is a nice scene and the sky is very good.
I am not 100% sure whether I like the colour but maybe if
the image was a little larger I could judge my feelings toward it better.
On first viewing it looked to me like it was desaturated slightly, especially
the grass, but I was obviously mistaken.I think I would like it with a little less grass in the foreground but
that’s just a personal opinion and may not make it better.Well done.
John.
