Hi Alan,
I really like the colour version.
The clouds sit well in the nice blue sky.
The lovely muted tones of the landscape and the turf. The sky is almost black in the mono version which gives it a kinda IR feel.
The left foreground in the mono seem a bit murky.Only an opinon of course.
Well done.
John.
aoluainParticipantThanks Jason and John,
John to my left was a cut turf bank there was a lot of flattened heather
there so it does look a bit uninteresting all right on the left.I just wasnt happy with the colour version after posting yesterday
I did a little processing on it after to lighten the foreground and
boost the contrast while adding a slight warm up filter, i like it better now!SeaviewParticipantVery nice shot Alan, I would prefer the colour one also as the sky looks great in that.
Dave.
kenhParticipantWith those clouds and sky it has to be colour, Alan – plus the foreground is a bit lost in the B&W. LOVELY shot!
figParticipantnfl-fanParticipantThat’s a lovely little composition there Alan. Love those clouds.
I’ve always been curious about Connemara… would it be worth a visit?
DeeboParticipantVery nice shot Alan.
The second colour one added looks really nice and vibrant, pity about the rubbish bags, quick clone should sort
DeethefizzParticipantaoluainParticipantHa Haa the fizz!
Yea I liked the mono version too untill I fine tuned the colour version.
Mr NFL, Connemara is a great place, a lot of photography to be had there,
endless really, but it has to be a fairly good day if there is very low pressure you wont see
the mountain tops.If antone is travelling down sometime I would gladly meet up and give ya a tour!
I am organising a meetup for the Galway volvo ocean race if anyone is interested
they can spin out to connemara over the weekend :)anyway thanx ken, fig ans dave.
Dee, the bags are used to bag the turf when its dry, easier to transport. they not really rubbish
as such but do take away from the scene. I might clone them out all right.tanx peeps
nfl-fanParticipantThanks Alan… I might take a spin up there for a day sometime during the summer months. I’ll give you a shout in advance in the event that you want to meet up.
Cheers

JYea absolutely John, no worries, might be a thing to organise a PI trip
during the summer or towards the end of the summer, but yea let me know
if you are coming up, you would need really about 6 hours to drive round
to get some of the remote spots in. you might need a stay over if you are coming
up from Wexford though.nfl-fanParticipantyou might need a stay over if you are coming

Just kidding… I have some relatives up around a place called ‘Carna’
A PI trip might be interesting?
