Hi key is where the tones of the images are all above mid grey and on into white. Simply having a white background doesn’t make an image hi Key.
Equally so, on the other end, a lo key image is not strictly an image with a black background.seanmcfoto wrote:

Beautiful work. Adding a border to the outside edge of the print may help to keep the viewers eyes from straying. Love the shot.
