Copper bench

I liked the grain in the bench and tried to bring it out. I think it is oak. Please critique.

Hi Dave,

I like the idea behind the shot. A couple of suggestions that might improve it:

1 – The shot suggests you’ve gone for a central composition, but it’s not quite central. If this is what you were going for, crop a bit off the LHS.

2 – What post processing have you done (if any?). The colour and exposure look a little off (unless it’s intended like this). It could be my monitor (I’m at work, so it’s nowhere close to being calibrated), but the highlights look a little blow, and the wood looks too brown to be natural.

Thanks Tim. I converted to black and white and then used a copper tone.
