Cork Mini Stages Rally

Only got to see one stage due to a huge crash on the stage, at the corner I was at. The second car was doing over 100mph and lifted off a crest and landed badly and rolled down the road and landed on its roof and was spinning at high speed while still moving down the road, and then the car righted itself and tucked into a ditch. The co-driver was unhurt, but the driver was suffering from, lower back pain, but wanted the stage to continue! Hopefully he will be alright.

Now a few photos from the second running

    Great shots Daniel.

The flying debris highlights the amount of power that’s involved. I can’t help thinking though – if the background had some motion blur (by panning) that we would get a greater sense of movement and speed.

It’s a minor criticisim though. Overall they’re cracking shots and are nicely processed.

Thanks for the comment. I agree the they would be better with a bit of panning, but it was very difficult to do there, bad angle to the car, its slow as its a tight hairpin as well. I tried it but couldn’t get any good shots.
