Where do people go in Cork to get their images printed.
I left an establishment today dissapointed when the B&W I wanted printed came out with a green tint to it. I didn’t pay and let them keep the print. The clerks response was that there’s nothing wrong with the machine, thats just the quality it produces.

Where can I go to get decent prints? or do people use an online service?

    Thanks

If you are looking at Small prints (up to 12×16″” or so) Try Fuji Foto centre on the side of Penrose Wharf or John Sheehan Photo lab in Togher ( in an industrial estate near St. Finbarrs H&F club), both print for Pros. and do good work.

Thanks for all the suggestions lads. I just checked out the iophotoworks. Looks very impressive. I’ll give them a go. I’ll try Fuji Foto centre on the side of Penrose Wharf anf John Sheehan’s Photo lab too and see which works best for me.
    Cheers

If you want a cheap print and good quality try Harvey Normans. Im not sure how much they are now but a 6×4 was only 19 cent before, and they go the whole way up to custom sizes such as A0!

    Hi Alwyn,

You are welcome to call into iophotoworks sometime to see high quality B&W images on various papers.

Our B&W images are as good as the best darkroom print and don’t have colour casts. The secret to this is in very careful calibration on the printer side as well as using good quality paper.

Even our very basic low-cost photo paper RC is a high quality material from French company Canson. For the ultimate B&W we also have Baryta and cotton papers from Hahnemuhle.

Only thing is we don’t print smaller that 10″x8″ unless it is tied in with an exhibitions.

I used peak imaging (UK) a few years back and was happy. That said 360-dpi or iophotoworks will print from an image sent to them
    of course…

    Thanks for the info,
iophotowork are a little expensive on the P&P if your only ordering a few items.

I have a couple of options now to try and see the results
