Cost of Photoshop CS2

I’ve CS2 in work but only have Ver 7 on my home pc. I’d like to run CS2 at home but the cost is so high.

I don’t want to run an unlicenced copy [dont post anyting on that issue] and I’m wondering where I can get the cheapest possible copy of CS2 thats 100% legit.

I think the cheapest ways to get a legitimate version are :

    (1) Educational Version (if you qualify – possibly through a part-time course)
    (2) Upgrade from a previous version. i.e. buy a legit older version and pay for the upgrade.
Sometimes these can be bought as a package on ebay.

Is your version 7 not upgradeable ?

If anyone knows a cheaper way, I would love to hear.

What about some of the very good alternatives? Paintshop Pro is highly thought of.

Microsoft’s latest Digital Image Suite is much-improved apparently.

And PS Elements still does a lot of stuff.

PS CS2 is very pricey whichever way you pay for it. At least as much as a nice lens.

The Photoshop CS2 Upgrade for Windows is only $149.95 from B&H. As you already have PS7, an upgrade is the way to go. Bear in mind that you may need to upgrade your PC too as CS2 is fairly resource intensive.

    Hi thornston

I know that it is available from http://www.adorama.com at $149. Do you have an address for B&H.

Mike – the link I had in my post above should take you there. If not, you can go to their home page at http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
