Thanks Lorraine for your comments. I forgot that you could see the shoes and that the guy was sitting. Although I agree about the heart shape I like the contextual shot too. I like that the guy has a pen and the girl a cigarette.

WOW Jools, you’ve improved an already crackin shot 100%. I much prefer the second edit, the processing and composition really reminds me of Ciaran’s work. When i saw the first edit, i thought the one thing that wasn’t portrayed was the fact that the couple were so caught up in the moment that they just didn’t care what was happening around them. The second edit reflects this. Very worthy of a very big print.
Thanks Ali. I don’t think the technical quality is there to give a big print unfortunately.
Here is a square crop with the same kind of post processing. I hope this retains the heart shape.

With my experience Jools I think that you’ve produced this shot to a quality level where my critique is just personal preference.. I love the closer crop into their space and I think its a great shot ;)
But isn’t the great thing about this hobby of ours is that you get to please yourself .. :) (most of the time, if you’re lucky  )
Thanks Lorraine for spending the time to examine the shot and give me your advice. I hope that my post processing skills have improved a little since I took the shot about a year ago and I appreciate the members here giving me the benefit of your advice and experience and hopefully I am in a better position now to put your advice into effect.
