Crashing Waves at Sandycove

Was out late at Sandycove and with the fierce waves at high tide had to capture a few images. Down at the Forty foot the waves were crashing into the rocks and flooding the changing areas. The sun had already gone down so had to cope with very dark conditions but still managed to get a couple decent images.

Well captured Jason, your exposure looks perfect. Strong composition also.

Thanks Dave, at ISO 2000 and in the near dark it was nice to get anything :)

great picture and composition. love the movement / splashing of the water.
the only thing odd is the overall tone of the picture..

thanks Claudio, i guess the magenta/purple tone isn’t to everyone’s taste, it was added in pp as otherwise the image was quite dark

I like the image and composition but like others have said, the temp is a little cold for my liking.
The motion of the water is great. What was your exposure settings?
