Crisp morning

I remember the first shots with my Sigma 10-20
and feeling a bit let-down by the leaning trees at the outer edges.
I believe it is fixable in PS
but not having been motivated, I can’t advise.loustalotphotographyParticipantthe colors are nice but I am confused by the foreground and the distortion
orla_fParticipantThanks Pixelle, yes, the leaning trees are a nuisance…!
Loustalot, I’m glad you like the colours but I’m not sure what you mean by the distortion – maybe you could explain for me? The foreground is an area of frosty grass and mud at the river’s edge.
Thanks,
Orla.loustalotphotographyParticipantmiki gParticipantHi Orla. I don’t think the distortion is much of an issue in this as it can easily be corrected in PS and of course, some trees lean naturally :) . I would crop out the majority of the foreground though to just before the waters edge as I think the image looks better without it.
AedanCParticipantHi Orla,
Nice one and I don’t think the distortion is too bad at all, the houses are in the distance and some trees lean!
However if you want to look into lens correction see the link below, have your speakers on though because it speaks to you! I have not tried what he is suggesting but I know it can be done.

orla_fParticipantThanks Miki G and thanks Aedan for the link. I’ll have a look at it.
Orla.aoluainParticipantthis is a very nice scene, lovely light but not in the place
you needed it.Its a pity the foreground is not illuminated with some of theat golden light.
Did you get any with a closer view of the far side of the ricer cutting out
the shaded foreground?orla_fParticipantThanks for the comments Aoluain. I did post one looking downriver at a bridge (O’Briensbridge) but I didn’t get a closer shot of the far side.
I’ll have to revisit the spot whenever it stops raining!
Orla.
