jerrieParticipant
Hello everyone, it’s a long time since I’ve logged on, due to been struck down with Crohn’s disease early last year.
I have been finding it very difficult to cope with and was wondering if any other ‘Photography Ireland’ members suffer from it.
Regards to all,
Jerrie.FintanParticipantHi Jerrie, my wife has Ulcerative Colitis which as you know is not exactly the same but similar. You use the word ‘suffer’ and man that’s no understatement. It’s a tough one, I hope you are improving.
jerrieParticipantFintan, thanks so much for your reply and I hope your wife’s health improves.
Regards,
Jerrie.MartinParticipantI don’t have Cronn’s but have Ulcerative Colitis like Fintan’s wife. Its a horrible disease to have.
Was taken off the tablets last December by the specialist as i stopped having the symptoms associated with it and had been in remission a while.
Fingers crossed its gone as I am living a normal life like everyone else now. Will take 12 months to really tell, but looking very good so far… I am one of the very luck ones… I do have problems with my blood pressure now though which im trying to get fixed…
Martin
jerrieParticipantMartin, good to hear from you.
How’s the Nikon 70-200? I had just started having the symptoms of the Crohns when we met in Newry. Was 12st 7lb then, now 9st 2lb. I do hope you will continue to keep clear of the Colitis and that your bp is corrected soon. I would be interested to know the medication you where on, maybe you would pm it to me.
Jerrierc53MemberSympathy to all — I don’t have Crohn’s or UC, but I do know exactly what it’s like.
jerrieParticipantDeeboParticipantHi Jerrie

The simple things in life, like chips or a Kimberely bicky are never appreciated until you are unable to eat them!
