WOW, I love this shot there is only a thing for me and that is the sky witch looks a bit artificial on the center blues, but the overall image is superb!

    Well done

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 452 4.3.1 Out of memory

    DEBUG MODE

The script is giving this error and although posting the comment it doesn’t show you! maybe something you can look at when you have the chance Mark.

    Really top class viewpoint,
a little heavy on the sky,
    but perhaps unavoidable-
looks like you’ve got the christmas card for the GAA nailed too-

    Merci folks.

This actually is a composite of three different exposures from the RAW file. I was at a conference there yesterday and didn’t have a tripod to do multiple exposures. The latitude was enormous between the dark stands and the sunny sky.

I actually think that the whole thing looks a bit artificial and not something I would normally produce but with all the dodging and burning and amalgamating and everything this is the result. Well the original “finished” job was all in colour but I tried this in the hope that the burnt sky and grey clouds would, somehow, not be so annoying with the metallic look to the stands.

I may have another bash at the sky Rod. Christmas card? Now there is an idea. I may actually get paid for this one ;-)

Anyway I feel happy enough to have created something way different for me.

Stunning perspective Danny. As already mentioned, it’s let down
a little by the sky, but probably couldn’t be avoided. That said,
    I love it. Fantastic shot.

Love it. Definitely can see how it could be sold for “corporate” use.

It’s stunning, I normaly detest selective greyscale but it works really well here. I kinda agree on the sky issue though, it’s the only weak point.

Have to agree with all that’s said above especially the “its a great shot” comment

Absolutely stunning. very much commercial quality. Sky is great, but there seems to be something up with the clouds – also seems to be a halo around some of the stand. how did you create your mask for this one?

Thanks Ali and everyone. Oh the shaggin’ sky! It’s driving me demented now. I’ve looked at it for too long and am not happy with it myself. I’m going to let it lie for a few weeks and come back to it. The burnout bugged me and maybe I over cooked it as a result. I may even go as far as replacing it completely though my PS skills don’t quite reach as far as doing it properly yet. I’ll keep my eyes open for something suitable anyway.

Wow its an amazing shot, croker looks impressive here. I love the way the light falls on the pitch. The rows of seats on the right draw the eye into the shot and a around the stand. You have to keep going back to take another look at it.
