Crown No.2 Box Camera

I’ve just bought a Crown Box Camera on Ebay…just for curiosity..only cost me about 7 euros. I was just wondering..if it is in half decent woking condition…is it still possible to get film for this type of camera..and what type would i get?

Any advice welcomed…

Not quite as fancy looking as that Johnny… this is it below:

If it takes the same film..would I be able to pick it up in any photo shop and presumably get it developed there too? Be curious as to the quality of pics i could produce with it.

I love those old camera’s…see lots of them on ebay and am always tempted to pick them up. But my wife is none to keen on me buying more “junk” as she calls it :lol:

I just borrowed some cool mamiya gear off a buddy so bought some 120 film, if you got cam with you tomorrow i will give you some to stick in it

Also if you are in town tomorrow, the only place I know of to buy 120 on a Sunday (expensive though) is the Camera Centre on Grafton Street….I do know that Conn’s and some other places will do 5 rolls of 120 400 Kodak Porta (what I use) for 25 squid.

I actually haven’t received the camera yet..is in transit as they say. I’ll check out 7dayshop for sure. Use them quite a bit for memory cards etc. In fact just ordered a camera rucksack. Have a growing collection of bits and pieces for my camera..so need something to keep them all in..*L*

Also ordered a Nikon Strap…just cos..well…i have to dream of the day when I open my brand new D80 ….hehehe!!

Bummer.

Well..the weather is supposed to be brighter tomorrow..though cold…but that’s okay.,.cos cold can be handled. Fingers crossed anyway.
