I presume that it is necessary to uninstall the trial version of photoshop CS5 prior to installation of purchased dics of same.
Any pitfalls to be aware of in doing this as I have CS3 on board as well ?
    thanks.

    Hi Gerry,

I would uninstall BOTH CS5 trial version and the older CS3.

Scan & clean your system using all the features (clean & registery) using the free & excellent http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner. (windows only) – then re-boot.

Do a fresh install and then re-install any third party plug-ins.

If you have any presets or actions – back them up from the relevant folders.

You should get the latest Camera RAW codec for your camera from your camear makers site. Canon have just released their one for the 7D.

YouTube, AdobeTV, etc etc has many excellent tutorials.

    Hope this helps,

    Gerry,

If you’re using the trial version, then you should just have to enter the valid serial number
to activate it and not have to install anything. I’m assuming that the trial version will be the
same as on disk. If its not, I’d imagine that the now activated version would go and look to pull
down any updates from Adobe’s site for you.
