My first computer was a Sinclair Spectrum 48. My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic 126.
richiehatchMemberFirst camera… Olympus OM 10 that my Dad bought way back… first computer… same as joolsveer Spectrum 48k… although in saying that it was used purely for games… first proper computer that I actually bought for myself was an Apple G4 Cube…!

GCPParticipantFirst camera was a Cosina CT1 whic I still have and my first PC was an Elonex 88C, W/20Mb Hard Drive and 640K memory. It ran on MS DOS 3.3 and cost ?1100 in 1989. I also bought a Star 9 pin dot matrex printer for ?385.00 and the printer cable cost another ?24.00.
Not Pete the blokeParticipantSteveDParticipantSodafarlMemberAn Amiga A600 brilliant machine (still have a 1200) and a n Olympus 2mp camera got me hooked on this .
SodaJay KingParticipantFirst computer was an Atari 2600… my dad had an old Commodore in the house but can’t remember what it was!?!
First camera was some old digital webcam type thing… that took crappy old grainy photos. I took a few snaps one day and put them together to make this video…
JohnnyMcMillanParticipantDo I call a Nintendo 8bit a compueter…lol
First proper camera was a Canon Eos 300…still use it to this day…
tara1MemberI suppose my first camera was my dads 120mm roll film back in the 1970’s which was about 1940’s vintage. I remember loading the film under the bed sheets fluff and all. Funny how you never forget the smell of film.
We used to take B/W pics and develop them at school because B/W was cheaper and easier than colour and in those days it wasnt artistic either, good fun though.
Then i lost interest untill 1985 when i walked into a camera shop in Walsall West Midlands and a brilliant salesman sold me a Pracktica bc1 ( i think it was ), brilliant because i only went in because it was raining. It cost me ?95.00 and i was as white as a sheet when i came out and my head was spinning, what had i done !!!!!!!. Well worth it though as i took mega thousands of pics with it and bought it to Ireland for the first time in 1990 and recorded a different Ireland which has all but gone, Shame :? Then it was on to a EOS300 which i still have and a IXUS V11 2 megapixal which i also still have.
