Visited the Curragh Graveyard yesterday. Had seen a few pictures of it in different paces and thought i would go down for a look as it looked like an interesting place. Used a red filter in these as an experiment which made them very contrasty, almost an IR look about them i think…

These aren’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea so would be interesting in hearing your views

#2 would be the pic of the set for me Martin. Nicely composed and the headstones dotted throughout the image really make it interesting.

There’s elements in each pic that I’d love to see all within one pic… the headstones and composition in #2, the trees in #1 and #3 (great looking trees I might add) and the sky from #3.

These are great Martin, the trees are just fantastic, really beautiful. The red filter has worked really nicely as well. If we are picking faves, it’s no.3 for me. Just love those trees :)

Acros & Rodinal are a lovely combination. I like these a lot and yes they do have an IR feel to them.

Thanks for the feedback folks, glad you liked them, didn’t think I would get a good few comments so thanks

nfl-fan: Agree that there are elements in all three. Plan to go back down for another visit and have another go as its a great place to spend some time

Jess the Springer: Yea the trees and headstones are what make this place

Brickee: Cheers, yea the red filter is a bit weird but in some scenarios i think it could work very well, i think it works well here too

thefizz: Did allot of jumping around films for the first few months, Acros for landscapes and hp5 for documentary type stuff is what i have decided on. Really like Rodinal with these two films, cheap as chips with the high dilutions also which is a bonus

    Cheers

I love these, all three of them although number two took my breath away. Very mystical annd reminiscent of the stone statues dotted on a beach somewhere in England that was on the tv recently!!! Very well done indeed :)
