Nice crisp shots and certainly different from the norm. The detail in #2 is stunning.

    A nice collection PhotoSligo.

I think a ‘panning’ shot may have been worthy of inclusion….give the image a sense of movement rather than freezing the action.

    Something like this maybe.

If your unaware of this easy technique – here is some info.

Panning photos are nice, but not always you can do it.
Stay with your camera with long havy 70-200 on edge of street with a fence behind your back and try to panning somebody cycling with speed 50-60km/h 0.5 -1m m from you.
This photo what you show is very easy becouse photographer is quite far from object and man is coming back from shop with speed 10km/h

Good shots and two is a cracking shot, as noted there is a superb amount of detail and the muted background works great against the riders coloured jerseys. The last shot looks like a lens baby shot

Some really nice shots there, well done.
I have a question on the third shot though. Was the depth of field / out of focus background done in photoshop? It’s just that while the bike and rider are perfectly focused, the road directly beneath him isn’t and it looks a little unnatural.

3rd shot = photoshop, why, because there’s no plane of focus on the road!
ps: photosligo, there’s a duathlon in rosses point Sunday morning 10am start if you want some more practice…some good triathletes from the area will be doing it.

3rd- it is a shame:)but i did it, sorry everybody for it. I’m going to “grow up” now, and not make any more mistake like this.
    Thank you Mark for info.
