Hey ladyardilaun,
What I like in this is great eye contact and focus where it suppose to be. Shallow depth of field works quite well in here. What I personally would change is cropping (I would crop more from the top) and would sit the girl bit differentely, not to create vertical line with her shoulders. People generally do not like ‘from above’ angle, but I love it and it works quite well in most of situations, like here.

I dont think the space either side adds much to it, but that is just a
personal opinion. Overall a lovely shot.I think when you set a standard as in the previous image posted you’re judged against that & I think this doesn’t fall in to the catagory of a
good image. Not enough light for me & maybe too shallow. It takes all sorts I suppose!well this is a beautiful portrait as far as i’m concerned ! great d.o.f and your model ( :-) ) has done a wonderful job !..i might crop in the sides slightly but i wouldn’t touch the top . i have to say i really like the processing also …can i ask how it was done ? there seems to be a slight green tint to the whole thing , which i really like. id love to take a portrait of that quality, really well done .
