Damaged telephoto lens

I’ve a Sigma 70-300 APO DG MACRO which unfortunately got damaged, the autofocus still works although it’s a bit slower, alas there’s no manual focus without making some nasty noises. It’s still nice and sharp and locks on just fine on autofocus. So i think i could sell it. Brand new they range from 199 to 294(yes that big a difference between Conns and Jessops for the SAME lens) so i’m wondering what i could get for my damaged yet useable one.
At a guess, probably up to a half whatever they sell on ebay secondhand for ?
?50 or so would be fair, as, if the AF is damaged it will only get worse. Although I suspect a repair may not be viable, It may be worth a call to the Irish Distributors; Hahnel, who are based in Bandon in Co. Cork. Regarding the pricing, it is interseting to note that Jessops are just about to close their Dublin Store for good – their only one in the Republic!
yeah they’re closing at the end of the month, still haven’t put their prices down though. Conns who are just around the corner are much cheaper and professional. I managed to get ?80 for it. not too bad eh
