VAubreyMemberlol, he found a good place!
Excellent shot, I’d spend more than 2 euros for such shot! :DAlan RossiterParticipantGreat Image Richie.
The harshness of the finish suits the content. How’d you do it?
Alan
richiehatchMemberCheers Vera and Alan…
I have 3 versions of this image on my machine… spent about a minute each on the first 2 and then about 20mins on this one… The harshness is by placing another image in a layer above the original and then changing its blend mode to colour burn and adjusting the opacity so it looks funky. I then gradually rubbed back areas around the dude so that he wasnt all messed up…. The overlaying image is this one…. http://www.pbase.com/richiehatch/image/68693458
Of course all this was done after I had already changed the image to Black and White using adjustment layers (Channel Mixer and Brightness and Contrast). It was an experiment to be honest… seen something similar a while back on the net somewhere. Thanks again

RobMemberWell spotted Richie, and worth every cent. Brilliant expression
and your processing is super. Incredibly sharp image…Rob.
Alan RossiterParticipantI tried this technique last night but I couldn’t get anywhere near this type of finish. I even had this thread open going through what you had done. It was only this morning I realised your colour overlay wasn’t a duplicate of the original. As a famous film star would say…Doh!
Now I’ve to trawl my catalogue and see did I get sand somewhere…
Alan.
