A shot from last Sunday’s sunrise over the south beach at Greystones. Not the best or greatest amount of colour in the sky but a fun morning splashing about in the surf. A pain cleaning the tripod down afterwards to get rid of all the sand and salt!
Nice image, I like the use of lines to draw the eye to the stones and then the sky. The horizon seems to lean down towards the right. Is this 2 blended images there seems to be a difference in the colour of the sea.
Thanks, I can’t stop seeing the tilt in the horizon ever since I saw your comment. Tripod must have sunk a little in the sand!!
The image in a blend of a bracket of three exposures which I semi-manually blended.
Really like this. Simple elements coming together. I think the lack of colour is a plus.
Don’t be too hard on yourself with the slight slope. No matter how many times I’ve tried over the years I can still forget to do that final check on the spirit level before I shoot! You could correct the top third in software.
Love the way the long exposure lines work to draw your eye into the picture! The composition is good a little more color in the sky would have helped but it wasn’t bad either. I set my alarm clock for 6AM this Saturday Morning to go there but couldn’t drag my arse out of bed. Ended up shooting in Killiney at sunset.
