After seeing the tail end of a couple of amazing sunrises as I got up for work recently I dragged myself out of bed last Monday at 05:30 to capture it. It was so worth it. It appeared it would be clouded over but as the sky lightened, the clouds glowed & gave texture. Unfortunately the tide was out but just pulled more of the sky in to the frame. Here are 2 samples.
The 2nd shot was taken 6mins after the 1st as the sun started to peak over the Island. You can see the difference in the light which was constantly morphing the clouds & landscape.
Two nice images, and hard to choose between them but I prefer the 2nd one only on account of the sun peering out over the island. If you had taken it from Balscadden, I wonder would you get a shaft of sunlight running across the sea to reach the shilouette of the island? Anyway, two fine pictures they already are!
