Just a shot I got at a sportsday of one of the lads on the PA system,
any C+C welcome.[/url]
Hi, You seem to like the B&W. I like casual appearance and expression of the guy in the photo. I am no expert, but the comments I would have for you on this is as follows: Crop tighter, clip off the empty space above the guys head. Also, the image is a bit over exposed, the white stripes in the guys shirt are a bit to bright. Thats Just my 2c. worth, keep posting and reading other peoples posts, you will be amazed how much you will pick up.

Yeah it’s slighty over-exposed in those areas alrite but not really in others, ah sur not much I can do now though :(

Great advice there from Kiltubber. I think it’s a great shot and well seen. Regarding the highlights, you haven’t mentioned whether you shot jpg or RAW. I think you’ve done very well to expose for the subjects face in this image and i don’t think it would have been possible to do much better than this out of one exposure. If your camera supports RAW though you’d be able to bring back some of the detail in the shirt using a mask. Nice shot, great expression and love the contrast.

Id agree with the lads about the exposure, if you shot RAW then you could bring back the highlights handy enough!
