I know its not best practice to provide a link but I would really like some feedback on this, my first post. I will learn how to do it properly before I upload anymore!

As I say feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Sorry SRFC.

Maybe it’s my connection. I hit the link but when I had only about two inches of the image after about a minute I gave up waiting. you would be better off learngin how to post the image if you want people to comment.

Hi – and nice capture. Someday before i die i’ll get up and see a nice sunrise.

1: i would advise you to learn to use the ‘crop’ tool in Photoshop or Elements – and generally for web use, go for 1200×800 pixels 72dpi. (or 700x500px, 600x800px etc, depending on the crop you decide to go for)

The image as it is uploaded is way to large – and takes too long to download.

2: When you have finished the crop and uploaded it – you can see a ‘direct’ link somewhere on the image page. ImageShack may have different links for different file sizes already.

Copy and paste this link on the forum page – highlight/darken it – and click on the ‘IMG’ icon on the mini toolbar about the blank space. This will ’embed’ it into your post.

If this was my image – i’d probably crop 12×8 and have the horizon on the bottom third dividing line – and maybe brighten up the forground on the bottom right. I tried it – and gives a more pleasing result. Crop from the bottom left upwards – leaving the couple in.

    Thats my twopunce worth,

    ciao
