Hi guys, wonder can you advise me on a decent 77mm Circular polarizing filter to use with my Canon 24-70
something reasonable in price if possible!
    Many thanks

well i used to use MARUMI filters!

they are very good quality and less expensive than the HOYA.

I would stay away from the cheap and cheerful ones.

The Marumi’s have good coatings on the glass and on the metal frames
all aimed at reducing unwanted reflections and glare.

this is an interesting article on a 72mm CPL filter test >

thanks for that, was looking at this Hoya one on Amazon Hoya 77mm Pro-1 Digital Circular Polarizing Filter for £56 sterling but after reading that article in your post about how hard thewy are to clean and easily scratched will have a look at Marumi ones as you suggested.

Get the best you can afford. I have used hoya filters in the past, find them very good. Any recent filters that i have bought or replacement filters for filters that i have broken have been B+W. I find the build quality and optical quality to be superb in the B+W. I also like to use helliopan but they can sometimes be hard to find.

I also recommend and use B&W and Heliopan filters and can supply the latter.
