Have not posted anything in this section for a while… Guess that means have not been to many gigs in a while!
Here’s two from the Spirit Store, Dundalk. Last night. Fantastic gig. C&C very welcome.
i really like the quality of these, i especially like the first one and the motion you captured, works well. good job with the use of the negative space in the second. nice tones to them
Cheers… I’m using LR for the mono conversion and the colour balance slider in PS to add the toning.
This was my favorite from the night.

you obviousley wernt using flash but the black backdrop was the stage yea? works really well

Its the last image that grabs me most! Well caught,Declan is a top bloke,met him when he used to gig with Paddy C and i found him to be the soundest of the lot. I used to be a promoter so got to meet him before and after when he went solo. Excellent musician also very much underated here but strangely massive in London.

No, no flash for this on these, the backdrop was pretty much all black and the lighting in this venue is really low. Used the spot meter and metered fot the face.

BenCheers Ben, think that one is my fave as well. He came across as a really sound bloke, I didn’t hang around as I was feeling really rubbish but I have a feeling that he might have had a bit of a jam with some of the local in there.
He is as you say, an excellent musician very much underated.

Declan is good crack and really down to earth.
I like the space in the second image, but don’t like the mic position. yep, it can’t be helped sometimes!
I take it you know Derek Turner and Oran then?
did he do…’we did’nt mean to go to sea??’…..i think thats what ya call it…..the first pic is my favorite! :D
