    Deer were very approachable today, think their priorities lay with filling their bellies rather than avoiding people.

    This guy posed for me! :D

    Unfortunately from this angle the deer looks 3 legged, only got the 1 shot from here though.

    OK, not a deer but the feral goats were amongst them :)

    Great set there especially #1. The eye contact in #1 & #3 make them stand out from the normal “Deer somewhere on the horizon” shots.

    Donal, it was my new (to me) Sigma 500/4.5 I got used on ebay recently :D Really sharp! Used on a 40D. Any lens would have got you close enough yesterday so if anyone has something like a 70-300 or even an 18-50mm and wants some deer shots it would be a good spot. 500mm was too long at times.

    they look really good, any time ive seen deer at glendalough they always took off before i could get close at all.
