Not Pete the blokeParticipant
Thanks a bunch Mark, for the new group. I hope it will prove a boost for the site and help me improve my attempts at the genre. Here are my first offerings, of the lovely Delta. These were taken with a very simple set up – model standing in front of a large octa softbox. Meter off the softbox and your model will be virtually silhouetted, although in my studio, there are white walls and ceilings which allow light to bounce around and create some fill.
comments welcome, and I should stress that art nude is new to me. These in fact, constiute my first attempts.AllinthemindParticipantFlipflipParticipantGreat start to the forum.
Beautiful shots.
What was the lighting set up?
jb7ParticipantGreat start Ross-
I like the top one, the one from this morning,
but maybe prefer the second one here-She’s a very expressive and elegant model,
with a dancer’s poise,
and seems a lot freer unclothed-Clothes are often one more thing to go wrong,
and unless they’re timeless and classic
they will often date a picture-
sometimes not in a good way-Now, where’s Pete the Bloke,
and I’ll try some myself…j

Haha. Ah well. Nice one all the same, thanks.
LucParticipantHum, I do not see any picture?
Did you remove them already Brandyman, or is there something wrong with my computer? Not Pete the blokeParticipantLucParticipantNice drawing of the curves. I like the second one for the expression and the pose of the right hand.
Just three details that I note: the crop is either too much or not enough, as the elbowe are cut for a mm; the left hand is a bit pressed in the skin and the hair that comes over the ear.
Well done anyway, the light is very nice!
