Some shots from Connemara today. This scene has been shot a hundred times but I wanted some of my own…

When I first looked, I thought the foreground grass interfered with the scene
a bit, but looking at the scenes without it I have changed my mind. It is a lovely
shot and I love the calmness of it.Are those cables running through the trees!
There are some places that should remain untouched by modernity.
This is one of them.Beautiful images by the way!
I think they would have been nicer without the grass but with more reflection.

Jenny, I agree, at first I preferred the B&W but the one with the grass is growing on me.
John, yes those are cables, and yes you’re dead right they should not be there! I tried cloning them out but it was futile. Cheers for the feedback :)
well done, for me the B&W would be framed! (after I got rid of cables)

This is the main Clifden-Galway road but theres no major towns around this location – I imagine the pylons were erected long before there were many regulations. I think they tried to cut the corner rather than following the road, saving money by taking the shortest route? Just a guess…
