Dig flash for my canon

interested in a second hand flash for my 400d.
the old one is just too thick and wont talk to my new smart japanese friend.fair price paid.
sorry sean keeping it for my film camera.
it just wont talk the same languague to my 400d
That’s not what I was asking. It might work fine as a manual flash using radio triggers for off camera use with the 400D.
