This is one of my favourite shots but I’d like to know if anyone thinks I could make it better in any way. By the way I don’t know how to use photoshop only picasa :)
TompixBandonMemberGreat photograph!
I don’t know Picasa so I’m not much help – perhaps others do.
However, most image editing software packages have options for control of contrast, curves, sharpening.
The very delicate blend of headland, sea, fog towards the left needs to be retained while improving the sharpness of the rocks on the right and foreground.Nice composition also.
Regards.aoluainParticipantOh I love this.
First thing that strikes me is the contrast between the sharp dark linear imposing cliffs
and the soft rolling pastel mountains in the backround. For me I would’nt change anything, it seems to be nicely exposed, the light on the cliff
face is beautiful.but
There is just one niggly thing for me and that is the top of a low mountain peeping
from behind the rocks to the right, it is slightly distracting, but not a major thing.Really nice image, wonder what it would be like in B+W?
A
SeaviewParticipantVery nice shot of a beautiful place, I also think it’s fine the way it is but I’m sure a slight boast in contrast might help.
Dave.
PS, I would also like to see it in B & W.
MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantmilky light is Ireland. love the softness and the harsh and ruff contrast to the cliffs. maybe brighten up the right corner a bit to get details. Very beautiful image! cheers Madeleine
flynnyParticipantI’ve seen other versions of this shot from time to time.
It’s a fine shot as is , but if you get the chance to revisit,
try to get it late pm and if possable, when the rocks are wet.
You’ll see an example of what I mean here.. http://www.image-shop.com/portfolio/
Well done,

Here is my attempt at a black and white version – I like it but not as much as the colour.
PD_BARBSParticipantjustaguyParticipantMaybe its a good thing you don’t know photoshop. Changes that you start fiddleing around with it are great and its a very good shot as it is. If it was mine ( I would be very happy) the only thing I would do is to darken the mountains in the back just a tiny little bit. But I would keep them pastel-ish
Very nice picture
